| Unfortunately I have heard that sound before too. Personally I think it would be a waste of time and money for you to replace the rod, etc. Much better to buy a rebuilt engine and replace yours if you are set on "repairing" the damage. But I think I would take the total pay out from your insurance company, (you could keep the car for a little less and then part out any parts you might want to) rent a car for a bit, and maybe you'd have a bit left over to help get your new TT running.
